Ruth Bader Ginsburg Women’s Empowerment Center Mural
In November 2021, I unveiled my first large-scale mural at the newly named Ruth Bader Ginsburg Women's Empowerment Center in Hartford—a project that remains one of my most meaningful works. Spanning 3,000 sq/ft , this vibrant mural features Justice Ginsburg alongside trailblazers Vice President Kamala Harris, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Governor Ella Grasso. Each figure was chosen for their groundbreaking contributions to women's rights, justice, and leadership, inspiring future generations.
What makes this project so special is not just its scale, but its purpose—to create a lasting tribute to powerful women who have shaped history. The open book with the words "write your own story" serves as a reminder to live intentionally and be the main character of your own life. Painting this mural allowed me to merge my passion for art with advocacy, turning a once-ordinary wall into a statement of empowerment and resilience. It has since become a landmark, sparking conversations and reminding viewers of the strength and progress women continue to fight for every day.
